Epic Flight Centenary
In 2019, South Australia celebrated the centenary of the first flight across the world from England to Australia – an awesome feat achieved in a plane of wood, wire and fabric, with open cockpits and only a compass for navigation. Achieved by South Australians Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith, the flight inspired a new generation. You can read all about the Epic Flight in a booklet.
